gurgling tub/shower drain

I read that a gurgling drain can be casued by a clogged vent stack. After checking this out and replacing a very old, rusted stack with a larger diameter pvc stack. Although my shower/tub drains quicker, the gurling is still there.

I haven't check the drain trap yet to see if this is part of the problem, but this is my next step. Is there anything else that I can check or do now? Thanks
