We are having a 10'X 10' room addition built on the back of our house. It appears the builder has started it with out any use of a blue print, for starters. He keeps asking where I want the door and the windows to be and what kind of roof I want -- weird in my opinion. The contractor should have given him this information, I would have thought. Next, he poured the concrete footing for the foundation without taking down the old patio cover or steps. He laid narrow concrete blocks on their flat side to start the laying of the brick (seems like it would crumble after a while). He calls this brick wall the foundation. The inspector came and would not pass it, saying it is not a foundation. The builder came out to look at the message the inspector left and wanted to know what it was he was supposed to do. My question is, should I continue with this project, or just quit before it gets any worse or stranger? Can any of this be right? I need your advice ASAP. Sincerely, Patricia Lecroy
