We are happy to run a few calculations for you. However, there are many variables to consider. For example, how much deflection (in inches) are you willing to accept under dead load and live load conditions? A structurally sound solution could still have considerable deflection. The less the deflection, the bigger the beam, and the higher the cost. Also what is the most depth you're willing to accept in the beam? These will help to limit the choices. Please send us an email with answers to these questions and we can fax back to you (assuming you have a fax) a few sample computations with our assumptions.
