Can you tell us exactly what the specifications are for the I-beam, such as total weight, the size of the W flange and the thickness of the steel? Clearly, this is probably a heavy beam. Various methods exist for installing it in a confined area, including the "brute force" method using an army of strong men...or better, hydraulic jacks. We need to know or compute the total weight.
