Thanks for the help. Can you recommend reading material on constructing a concrete roof for the basement. I have never attempted this before, although I have done a lot of work with concrete. I have some experience with structural engineering from university although not sufficient to analyze a structure of this type. My main concern is with the actual construction methods for that job (the concrete roof) after I have the engineers recommendations.
