Re: long term leaking of a toilet in the upstairs bathroom

Comments

If your upstairs toilet has had a long-term leak, over time the water could lead to rot, as well as overall visual damage to the floor, ceiling and surrounds. The damp conditions could attract termites, although not necessarily. It's possible that the subfloor will have to be replaced, as well as any damaged drywall and flooring. We recommend that you have a general contractor examine the extent of the damage and make recommendations for repair.
