We need a name of a contractor or business who will lift our 2000 sq. ft. concrete slab brick home about 24 inches higher. It was built in 1973 on a concrete slab too low and too close to ground level. As a result, it has been flooding numerous times. It sits in a very desirable part of town and well worthwhile saving in our opinion. I watched a TV show, like "This Old House", where a 2000 sq. ft. home on a slab was lifted 9 feet off the ground for the same reason as ours. The cost was $ 12/sq. ft. and the technique involved a 60 ton hydralic jack with a series of "I" steel beams and rods drilled into the floor every 4 ft. throughout the house slab. Please advise... Thank You, LA
