My wife & I are in the inspection phase of buying a home. The termite inspector found an active infestation of termites in two areas on the exterior of the home -- one area is to the left of the porch at the front entrance and the other was inside the garage to the left of the garage door. The house will be 9 yrs. old in January &
has NEVER been treated. The house exterior is all
Color Lok which we hope to replace w/ vinyl siding.
The termite inspector said there is no way of determining the extent of the damage. There is no visible damage. The trails are present & we are concerned. Should this be a reason to back out of the contract?? Any advice would be appreciated.
