Long, long floor joists

I have what I estimate to be 23 foot long 2"*10" joists which comprise the master bedroom floor/living room ceiling. There is some dip towards the middle of the room 1" but not so much at the sides (on the long span). Similary the bedroom ceiling has sag (more like 2-3" and really bounces when you are in the attic.(I reckon smaller joists) Would it make sense to remove and respan on the short span (about 15ft across rather than 23ft long) - or what other remedies might there be to level these floors. Anything that is not intrusive (ie requiring floor/ceiling demolition?) House in a 1908 stucco build I reckon before any sensible codes were in place. Thanks
