Dear BuildersTalk, I have a 30 year old colonial house, I recently experienced loud rattling pipes coming from my 2nd floor guest bathroom. The rattling would only stop if I turned on the cold water value in the bathtub of the bathroom, however the rattling comes back after i shut off the value. Next, I shut off the main water value and drained the cold water from the house. This stopped the rattling but it has come back again today until I repeated the same steps above. Please help a novice home repair victim. Thanks Jim
