Yes. There are load bearing U shaped precast lintels which can span up to 14' and U shaped prestressed lintels that can span up to 24'. There are many companies in Florida that manufactuer such, and several companies in the Southeast that carry. The U shape is perfect for this type of application as you can place your anchor bolt in prior to grouting for your base plate prior to placing your lumber. You can add rebar, add addional block on top, and then grout the lintel. Depending on strength required you could also bump up the PSI on your grout, bump up the rebar strength or increase the depth of your beam to gain some pretty nice loads. Beside gravity loads, I would also check into uplift, lateral loads, shear & moments and deflections.
