Electrical Problem?

I recently bought a heat press that is rated at 1800 watts/15 amps. When I turned it on, I heard some humming and crackling sound in the wall. All my computers are also hooked up in this room. Is this something to be concerned about or is that just normal when a lot of power is pulled through? There is a constant hum coming from that part of the wall anyway (sounds like a transformer or something), but not as loud as when I turn on the heat press. I'm wondering if I am overloading it, but if so, wouldn't the fuse blow?
