I have very old dried -- I believe, 9" x 9" vinyl asbestos flooring in three rooms. The tiles are now broken, cracked, and some with pieces missing. The tiles were placed over a wood support. Do I have to remove all the old tiles before puttting new ones on--or can I fill in the gaps of the old ones and place the new larger ones directly on top? I have a home depot nearby and can get my tiles there. thanks, Sola
