Re: OSB versus CDX Plywood

I posed the same question recently and heres what I found. Strength of OSB and plywood are comparable and OSB is more waterproof if used with textured glue side out in roofing applications. I find it hard to believe the tensile strength in joist construction is equal, but that is the answer I recieved. AND... OSB is generally less expensive. P.S. I am an engineer of 20 years and am now refurbing old houses.
