Fire and TGI beams

I am a New York City firefighter and know a considerable amount about lightweight construction and the hazards it creates for firefighters when it is subjected to fire damage...Concerning TGI beams...What does the TGI stand for..I usuallu refer to them as laminated wood I beams but would really like to know if the TGI means anything...Thank you, Scott
