I would like to put in a second story deck. I need the beam to span 40 feet and would like to have no columns. The joists will span 10 feet from where they attach to the house and the beam. This will be outdoor and I will deck with composite wood. Is there a wood beam that would span this distance with sagging? If wood is not practical what size I beam would I require? Thank you
